Cavalor® Arti Matrix provides a matrix solution to problems related to bones, joint capsules, tendons, cartilage and synovial fluid that are particularly common in horses with sensitive musculoskeletal systems or horses required to perform at high levels. Cavalor® Arti Matrix provides nutrients that support the joints, as well as certain physiological processes that allow for a quick and effective recovery of the musculoskeletal system.

It’s in the mix – a complex mix of botanical ingredients.

We take pride in providing clinical research and data that proves the effectiveness of our nutritional Cavalor has undertaken a scientific study that shows that a lower dose of each herb often results in a supplement that has a similar or better potency than those that contain just one single herb. The studies prove that Cavalor’s joint product; Arti-Matrix contains the optimum mix of different herbs, (in a lower concentration than what would be required if you were to feed the separately), to give the best results. We call this a Synergetic effect

The study also revealed that the definition of an effective product can be defined as not only containing a dose of each ingredient, but also how these ingredients work together and what proportion of each is needed to improve absorption and effectiveness. When tested, Cavalor’s Arti Matrix, which contains both a multi-herbal and glucosamine-chondroitin mixture, was able to exert its positive effect for longer and stronger than the higher concentrated glucosamine-chondroitin formulation.

Over the last 7 years, Cavalor has done, in Vivo studies, In vitro studies and studies on horses, to find out what is the optimal combination of raw materials in their joint products to come to a maximal effect and to prove this efficacity first in rats and later in horses

Cavalor Arti Matrix is a specialised blend of herbs and essential oils including Ananus comosus, Curcuma longa, Boswellia serrata, Equisetum arvensis, Echinacea purpurea, Citrus aurantifolia and Tanacetum parthenium.

The ingredients in this mix have an additive and synergistic effect scientifically proven in our research program^1,2,3.

The blend of herbs and essential oils ensures, among other things, that all ingredients can easily reach the joint, that recovery is promoted and stiffness is reduced. In this case too, we pay a lot of attention to the quality of the raw materials, because when it comes to herbs this really makes a difference in terms of guaranteed concentration and effect. The form of curcuma used, for example, contains 95% curcuminoids, the active ingredient.

Hydrolysed collagen type II: Type II collagen forms fibres. This fibre network of collagen supports the joints and strengthens the tissue.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM): organic form of sulphur. Sulphur is important for muscles, joints, cartilage, bones and blood; MSM is the best absorbable and bioavailable source of sulphur.

Glucosamine, chondroiting sulphate and hyaluronic acid: Glycosaminoglycans are important building blocks for ligaments, tendons, bones and synovia (synovial fluid). The chondroitin sulphate we use has a low molecular weight, which means that it is easily absorbed by the horse’s body. Just like with other raw materials, price and effectiveness are also linked to the quality in this case. Cavalor® selects raw materials with the highest active ingredient content. For example, chondroitin sulphate contains 90% active ingredient.

L-Glutamine: This is a building block for glutathione, an antioxidant. Glutathione is important for the recovery process in case of an injury.

Whey protein isolate (WPI): a glutathione precursor. Glutathione is a very powerful antioxidant.

Pure glutathione cannot be absorbed orally. Cavalor® uses a nutrient complex called WPI that stimulates the production of glutathione in the body. Glutathione protects the cells from destruction caused by an increase in free radical attacks. Glutathione together with other antioxidants such as vitamins C, E, Bio flavonoids and selenium neutralise these free radicals.

Vitamin C + E + beta-carotene + Bio flavonoids (grape seed extract): have an important antioxidant function and are important for the absorption of the active ingredients and increase immunity.

B vitamins: folic acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12: Important in supporting metabolic processes in the body.

Combination of inorganic and organic (Intellibond and chelated) minerals copper, zinc and manganese: Organic minerals have a better bioavailability but inorganic minerals are more stable.

Lime algae: carbonated algae that contain various forms of calcium. These types of calcium have a beneficial effect on bone strength.
