Introduction to equine nutrition
Nutrition is recognised as a vital part of horse care
Nutrition is recognised as a vital part of horse care, essential to ensure optimal levels of health, reproduction, performance and well-being. This book is very useful to horse owners, trainers and breeders, strengthening their technical and scientific skills. It is also important for those who want to study equine science and management. With the publication of the Italian edition, Equidiets proposes to the public of horse lovers and operators an organic and updated vision on equine nutrition, with reference to the evidence emerged and consolidated by international research over the last twenty years. Introduction to equine nutrition is an introductory but exhaustive text for all those who want to know and appreciate the “best practice” of equine dietetics. The text also helps to sweep away several false legends still rooted among insiders.
This editorial initiative edited by Equidiets is part of the multi-sector projects identified by the collaborative programme Horse & Tuscany (HAT), which is coordinated by the FERPI Toscana Association and participates in the European Horse Network in Brussels.
